Women’s Climbing Weekend
Climbing, Camping & Crag-Side Adventures
Several Dates in 2023!
From $325 for weekend event
Trip Summary
Let’s get together and climb in the beautiful Eastern Sierra in the Granite Basin area right off US 395 and SR 120 by Mono Lake and Lee Vining, CA!
We’ll be setting up a base camp and having a fun, casual weekend climbing together. We’ll focus on footwork, climbing techniques with an emphasis on mindset to build up confidence.
This event in Lee Vining is geared towards beginner outdoor and intermediate gym climbing. The routes here will start at 5.7, 5.8 so you should have an ability to climb indoors at 5.8 or above. (If you are not yet to that level, check out our Alabama Hills event.) We’ll be climbing at an elevation over 7,000 feet so we can expect to escape from the scorching desert heat and enjoy pretty mild evenings!
Come on out and get to meet other women who share your same passion!
Our Women’s Climbing Weekends are incredibly popular so book quickly to secure your spot.

Eastern Sierra desert daytime temperatures can vastly range depending on the time of year. Expect warm sunny days and chilly evenings. “Dear women adventurers of all skill levels, you need to take a trip with Alpinistas Collective! I just returned from the Cold Weather Skills workshop in Yosemite and I've learned more in three days than I have in all my years of hiking and camping. It's so rare to find guiding experiences that are fun, connect you with likeminded folks, AND equip you with a ton of new skills.”
— Ashley
“I had the absolute best experience on a rock climbing trip with Joanne! Every part of the weekend was fantastic - the camping experience was wonderful, the guides were knowledgeable and kept everyone safe, and the climbing was so much fun! I'm looking forward to future trips with Alpinistas Collective, and love the work they are doing in making outdoor education more accessible to women!”
