Alpinistas Adventures is a women owned, outdoor adventure company specializing in women’s outdoor education and recreation. We’re based in the California-Nevada region, with additional destination oriented outings and expeditions further in the US and around the world. While a lot of our trips are primarily women-only, we do also offer co-ed events and private bookings.
We are always looking for amazing people to join us in encouraging and empowering folks to get outdoors. All skill levels are welcome but some roles require more training and certifications than others.
At this time, we are not looking for rock, mountain or ski guides.
Backpacking Guides - Lead recreational or educational outings. You’ll need to have experience leading adults in a paid setting and instructional background. You must have WFR, LNT, and CA Food Handlers Permit to be considered. Strong preference for those that have Yosemite knowledge.
Day Hike Guides - Lead recreational or educational outings. You’ll need to be able to jump on fill in, last minute Yosemite trips. You must have WFA and LNT to be considered. Strong preference for those that have Yosemite day hike trail knowledge or the desire to learn about Yosemite’s history.
Wilderness First Aid Instructors - Must have experience teaching Wilderness First Aid courses.
Sierra Based Educators - Subject matter professional expertise, local to Reno-Tahoe for one-day or overnight clinics teaching outdoor skills.
Event Host / Camp Cook - Run campground based events that involve site set up, decoration, cooking meals, interacting with clients, stoking the fire, creating positive vibes for clients, keeping site pristine and aligned with the Alpinistas brand, site break down and potentially gear hauling.
Porters/Drivers - Wanna schlep food and gear around the Sierra in exchange for gas money and access to beautiful destinations?
